27 persons, killed, injured northeastern Baghdad
Six persons were killed while 21 others were injured due to an Improvised Explosive Device that exploded on Tuesday morning near a Shiite mosque to the north-east of Baghdad.
Security source told All Iraq News Agency "An IED blew up near Asadullah mosque in Hussainyia neighborhood resulted in killing six persons and wounding 21 others."
"The ambulances and the security forces rushed to the explosion spot, then transported the injured to a hospital while the dead bodies were sent to the morgue," the source added.
Shiite Mosque targeted in Salah-il-Din
A bomb exploded on Tuesday evening near a Shiite mosque in Tuz Khurmatu district of northeastern Salah-il-Din province.
Security source reported “ A bomb exploded near Sayed Mahdi mosque in Tuz Khurmatu district, killing four worshippers and injuring nine others.”
“Police patrols transported the bodies of the victims to the morgue and the injured people to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
