WHY POUR WATER ON GRAVE?

What does it mean to pour water, or to plant flowers or plants, on the graves?

A. To pour water on the grave after burial is Sunnah. According to some Ahadith, it is Sunnah to do so upto 40 days. It has one pragmatic and one spiritual significance. Water strengthens the grave; and also it is a symbol of the Mercy of Allah. Planting flowers or plants has no basis in Shari'ah. It is an innovation which should be avoided.

WHAT IS THE RULINGS ON INDUSTRIAL ALCOHOL?

The late Agha Seyyid Mohsin Al-Hakim had given the ruling that industrial alcohol is Najis. I hear that Agha Seyyid Abul Qasim Al-Khoui has given the ruling that it is Tahir. Is it correct? A. Yes. Agha Seyyid Mohsin Al-Hakim (r.a.) gave a ruling that industrial alcohol was Najis, even if one did not know that it was made of Najis things. Now, Agha-e-Al-Khoui has been told by many chemists that absolute alcohol (i.e. having less than one percent water) in itself is not intoxicating; it only intoxicates when it is mixed with some other liquids. Acting on this information, Agha-e-Al-Khoui has said that alcohol in itself is not Najis; but when it is mixed with other liquids and creates intoxication then that liquid is najis

Why music is Haraam ?

Question:
why music is haraam ??,
Answer:
Listening to music which is used by sinners is a sin. If you are in a place where music is played and you can not stop it, and can not leave the place, then you should not pay attention to it, till you can leave the place or stop the music. Every act which is forbidden in Islam (Haraam), is forbidden because it is very harmful, as Allah (SWT) has conveyed to humans through the Prophet (SAWA). We might understand some extend of the harm, or we may do not know , but we remain believing the Allah is The All Knowing, The Most Merciful and The Most Wise,so, we follow what is been conveyed to us to avoid the damage in this life and the punishment hereafter. How was Prophet's Namaz?

Question:
I heard a saying of prophet s.a.w that recite namaz in the way you see me. is it correct?
Answer:
Yes it is correct. The Hadeeth saysصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي (Sallo kama ra'atomooni osalli) which means that we have to pray as the Prophet (SAWA) prayed. The Prophet never folded his hands while praying, and never washed his feet in Wudhu and never said Ameen after reciting Al Hamd in Salaat, etc You must follow the prayer of the Prophet (SAWA) and as we did not witness him, we must take it from the most authentic source who are his Ahlul Bayt (AS)who prayed just like the Prophet (SAWA) following his teachings. Any narration which goes against what Ahlul Bayt (AS) said is invalid. This is the reason that we say that the Real Prayer is been performed by the folowers of the Prophet (SAWA) and his Ahlul Bayt (AS). Wassalam. Mohammad al-Musawi

Is It obligatory to do taqleed ?

Question:
Q.Is It obligatory to do taqleed of a Gair Masoom A Person who Is not from 14 masoomeen if it is then please showprove from quran or hadees.
Answer:
Taqleed is acting upon the verdict of the Mujtahid (highly learned in Islamic knowledge). Taqleed is obligatory on the rules of Shariah on every one who is unable to deduct the evidences of Islamic rules. He must them do Taqleed to make his deeds based on the evidences of a highly learned (Mujtahid). Following the Masoom is must and it is not Taqleed but following the teachings of Allah which come from the Masoom. When we do not have a clear teaching from the Masoom in any matter, we need then to make a research (for those who can do so) or do Taqleed of a Mujtahid. assalam Mohammad al-Musawi

Why does Shia followers held their arms next to their sides during Salaah?

Question:
Why does Shia followers held their arms next to their sides during Salaah?
Answer:
The way of Shia Muslims in Salaah is the Prophetic way of performing Salaah. Folding hands during Salaah was not authentically done by the Prophet Mohammad (SAWA), and that is why we found all Ahlul Bayt (AS) who are the best who know the real Sunnah, never folding their hands during Salaah. Folding hands was a non Muslim practice during their prayers and when the prisoners of war were brought from Persia to Umar Bin al-Khattab, they folded their hands in front of him. He asked them why? They replied that it is their way to show respect. He liked it and ordered to be done while Salaah. Imam Ali (AS) and many Sahaba refused adding any act on Salaah which was no done by the Prophet (SAWA). Many Sunni scholars like Imam Malik, the leader of Maliki sect, and Abdullah Bin al Zubair, Saeed Bin Al Musayyeb, Saeed Bin Jubair, Ataa'. Ibn Juraij, Al-Nakha'i, Hasan al-Basri , Ibn Sireen and many other Sunni scholars did not fold their hands during Salaah. Wassalam. Mohammad al-Musawi
