TEHRAN -- The 20th edition of the International Holy Quran Exhibition concluded on Tuesday, with over 2.5 million visitors over its month-long run. A total of 230 Iranian and 46 international publications displayed over 20,000 Quranic products at the exhibit at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, Deputy Culture Minister for Quranic Affairs Hojjatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi said during the closing ceremony on Wednesday. Iranian and foreign researchers also represented their latest Quranic achievements at the exhibit, he said. “Over 200 plays with the central theme of the Holy Quran were staged during the exhibit, while 300 Quranic software products were also introduced at the Digital Media section of the exhibit,” he added. In addition, over 300 Quranic and cultural institutes collaborated with the organizers this year. The exhibit still runs in Mashhad and will be moving to East Azerbaijan and Khuzestan afterwards, he said. Mohammadi hoped to extend the time of visiting from 3:00p.m. until midnight for the next year edition. This year the visiting hours were 5 to 12p.m. |
