Diary of a Shia Bahraini girl (2)

With all the news, letters and spot light on Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja; who today will finish his 57th day of hunger strike, I will say my own few words.

This man, and when I say man I really mean it, has raised his daughters in a manner so that they can hold and pass on the torch that he has lit with his heart and faith in the cause of human rights.

Abdulhadi is sacrificing his life and family’s happiness for the sake of human rights in Bahrain and around the world. His motto is “Live Free or Die”! He is a legend when it comes to human rights in MENA region.

His letter was more of a farewell letter… shaped like a heart (Picture in the link below) and in the middle he wrote the word “Allah” or God. He believes that everything we do in life is connected to God at the end.

Bahrain is in rage and sadness… we are waiting for the news of his release or death by the minute!

May God Almighty protect him from all evil and may God do what he sees just.
