Photos: Great Candle-Procession Marches Around the Two Holy Shrines, Karbala

As an annual ritual, thousands of believers in the city Karbala used to tragically march in procession in the Eleventh night of Muharram 1434, lunar month (25.11.2012), holding candles lit up in remembrance of the tragedy of Imam Hussein and his family (p.b.u.t); and mourning with Mrs. Zainab. (Imam Hussein's sister) (p.b.u.h) for that and what happened to her as tragedies and ordeals.

The procession marched in some streets round the two holy shrines until they entered the two holy shrines of Imam Hussein and EL-Abbas (p.b.u.t).

Shouts about Imam Hussein and EL-Abbas (p.b.u.t) reiterated expressing the deepest condolences on grievous catastrophe. 




































































News \ Redness of the soil of Imam Hussain AS holy grave in the 10th of muharram (Ashura)


 
A sample of soil which is being shown in Imam Hussain AS Holy Shrine Museum, which was taken from Imam Hussain AS grave, changed its color to red. The event happened on the morning of 10th of Muharram.
The manager of the museum stated,” the soil was taken from nearest spot of Imam Hussain AS grave, and it is being shown in the entrance of the museum of the holy shrine.
It was turned from its natural color to red today’s morning during reading the martyrdom story in the courtyard of the holy shrine.
Karbala TV live-broadcasted the event on while covering the ceremonies of Ashura”
