If the Imam Mahdi AJK is supposed to be the only one who will rise by the sword why did Imam Hussain A.S fight?
Answer:
Every Infallible Imam does his best to save Islam in the best way that the circumstances allow. Imam Husain (AS) had no other way to save Islam but to rise with sword against Yazeed, while other Imams after him did not rise with sword because of the difference in circumstances which lead to different results. Imam Al-Mahdi (AS) will rise with sword as well because he will be the Imam who will remove all types of injustice and establish justice all over the world, and such great aim needs him to rise with sword.
